Rookie Baseball Drills and Plays |

This
is the standard lineup for Cal Ripken league baseball.
Obviously, actual positions can change depending on the
situation. Drills are great for repetition. You cannot
expect a child to know what to do in a game, if he has never
practiced it. I've seen very talented 7 yr. old players run
through second base just as he would at first, only
to get tagged by the shortstop. Then I
would hear the coach tell the player that he can't do that, which is
fine. But spending 5 minutes on that in practice would have
kept that runner on base, which would have eventually won them the
game. These drills are geared for 8u baseball, but can be used for older and
more experience players. |

is my baseball drills and plays page. Most of these are geared
towards 8u rookie baseball, but many can be used for all ages and
levels. Most can be altered for your use. If you like them,
